New Show tonight! Take a trip with me from the beginnings of time, when we were all nothing but molecules and atoms, through history until present day with thinking, feeling, and confusing humans who work most of their lives away, still fall in love with each other, but only to die and fade away…why are we here? I dunno, but here’s a night of radio about it…

The first episode of the year for Catfish and The Rivers Edge. Catfish rang in the new year with a bad case of pneumonia, and was out of action for almost a month…this being the first show back, Catfish took it easy, keeping his lungs rested and not spending a lot of time on mic…instead he put together a 2 hour mix of new music that he listened to while in bed hacking up ectoplasm for 3 weeks straight. But no worries, he found a doc willing to see him for $40 (no health plan) and now he’s rip roaring and ready to go! Enjoy!
Stay tuned for next week’s episode, 01.30.2010 where Catfish journey’s to the dark side of the moon to find what music really exists there. It’s gonna be a real blast, turn on and tune in!

Hey everyone…sorry I been m.i.a mostly of late. Just starting to get over a nasty case of pneumonia, and I haven’t any insurance, so it went on for like a month until I found a doctor kind enough to see me for $40 and give me free med samples of everything I needed to get over it. I’m so thankful too, coughing non stop every time you try to lay down, and getting no sleep takes a lot out of you…I felt like my insides were the piece of meat rocky trains on in the first rocky movie from all the coughing. But it’s good to be on the up and up again.Since I’m starting to feel better, I got back to making my radio show. It’s not as crazy as the usual episode, but it’s the first show of the year, and the decade, so you gotta start somewhere. The setlist is made up of all the music I was listening to when in bed (except for the first song, I only used it because they sing The River’s Edge in it lol).
Tune in at TONIGHT @ 11 PM EST http://spfradio.yage.net/

LISTEN TO THE SET!
The 2 hour HOLIDAZE SPECTACULAR episode! Tune in to take part of the “the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye!” A mix of holiday tunes from the fringe assembled with loving ears for you folks, by Catfish Rivers. Putting this set together has changed my expectations for my own personal holiday music listening experience forever. I never knew there was such a wealth of great music about the winter holiday season, but I literally started with around 27 hours of music and struggled to pair it down to just two hours. I hope it wakes up your holiday music expectations too. Enjoy and Good Luck to you all in the new year. May you all be healthy, happy and hopeful.
Usually you have to wait to open the gift to find out what’s inside, but I’m gonna tell you what’s inside so you can save the shaking for your booty on the dancefloor! Here’s the setlist for the show:

I just added two great archives. I am pretty happy with how both of these shows turned out, even though “real life” has been super stressful and demanding most of my usual free time to work on stuff like the Rivers Edge…even so, something about being under the gun brought out a certain clarity of vision for both of these episodes.

In this episode Catfish gets a new mixing board (from who knows where) which has a few extra, and apparently magical, effects built in to it. Tune in to hear what happens when Catfish pushes the “Reality Phase Shifting Effect Button”. Take warning though, the effect when applied to a sound source can also effect those who are listening to it as well. No one knows how Catfish got this bewitched mixing board, but it sure did put an interesting twist on this episode. Tune in to hear what music would sound like in another dimension! (2 Hours)
